Construction and reconstruction of metallurgical plants

The wear and tear of the main assets of the metallurgical complex in Ukraine, as well as in Russia, currently exceeds 50%. Therefore, to secure leading positions among competitors, achieve high steel production efficiency, improve the environmental situation, and comply with new standards, many plants and complexes have launched comprehensive programs for the reconstruction and technical re-equipment of outdated and inefficient units to modernize existing production capacities to a higher level.

It was this type of reconstruction that the company “Ecorembud” undertook and successfully implemented during 2006–2008 at one of the enterprises in southeastern Ukraine — JSC “Alchevsk Metallurgical Complex.” Over three years, our specialists installed and handed over to the customer more than 9,000 tons of metal structures and equipment, including: the continuous casting machines complex MNLZ-2, the oxygen-converter shop (KKC), the ferroalloy shop, and others.

At the same complex in 2013, Ecorembud participated in further reconstruction and modernization, specifically the installation of a blast air pipeline trestle to blast furnaces 3, 4, and 6, performing works with a volume exceeding 2,000 tons. This included installation of metal structures, a pumping station with an electrical switchboard, converter gas pipelines, gas coolers, and more.

Additionally, during 2007–2008, Ecorembud constructed a covered stockpile for raw coal with a capacity of 15,000 tons for JSC “Donetskstal Metallurgical Plant” at the Krasnoarmiyska Western Mine No.1 (city of Krasnoarmiysk, Donetsk region). Over 5,000 tons of metal structures and equipment were installed.

Moreover, our company took part in the reconstruction of blast furnaces. At the Zaporizhzhia Metallurgical Plant (“Zaporizhstal”), we performed reconstruction works on blast furnace No. 9.
