Chemical industry facilities
At chemical industry facilities, it is worth noting the construction by the company of such objects as isothermal tanks for storing ethylene-propylene with a volume of 10,000 m3, where the inner tank is made of ON-6 nickel steel, the welding technology of which differs significantly from that of carbon steels; the construction of gas holders of various purposes and volumes, including spherical gas holders with volumes of 600 m3 and 2000 m3. Our company’s employees have developed a useful model for welding spherical gas holders using automatic welding with “Lincoln Electric” AGW-II machines without the use of manipulators, which are technologically complex and expensive.
For LLC “Karpatnaftokhim” (Lukoil group of companies), assembly and installation of metal structures of the brine thickener body and equipment were carried out during the construction of a membrane electrolysis plant with a capacity of 200 thousand tons per year of caustic soda. A particular complexity was that the thickener was designed and made of metal. The walls were constructed using sheet steel Vst3PS5 with a thickness from 16 mm to 12 mm and a diameter of 26.6 meters. The conical bottom consists of segments of 20 mm thick sheet steel laid on guides made of rolled I-beam profiles (see photo). The welding of the thickener walls was performed by ADD 330 welding machines (vertical seams) and “Lincoln Electric” AGW-II (horizontal seams on the vertical surface). The difficulty in welding the bottom lay in the careful selection of semi-automatic welding technology to prevent deformation of the conical bottom.
From 2011 to 2013, our company carried out the installation of metal structures, equipment, and technological pipelines at a complex for transshipment and fractionation of stable gas condensate with a capacity of 6 million tons per year at the Ust-Luga seaport in the Leningrad region, as well as conducted major repairs of units at the Ryazan refinery (“Rosneft”), Kstovo refinery (“Lukoil”), and Saratov refinery (“TNK-BP”).
